Stathis Logothetis was a representative of contemporary art. His works break the traditional conventions, without moving away from the history of painting. His artistic production follows the technique of destruction and (re) creation. Furthermore, his activity focuses on three-dimensional works, installations and artistic activities. His early painting is experimental on abstract and figurative depictions. During his mature work period he abandons the conventional use of the canvas and turned to abstraction by suggesting a subversive function of art and began to incorporate various objects into his work by adding colour, aiming to pinpoint the role of time and corruption. Also, the colour in his lyrical compositions ranges from bright red to deep black. His technique is that of destruction and reconstruction. The elements in its compositions are placed in such a way that they either attract and repel at the same time each other or create the feeling of inclusion and pressure. Additionally, he experimented with other expressive forms of art as performance, happening, body and living art, incorporating his own body into a number of these works.
Adopting the role of anthropologist, historian and psychoanalyst, Logothetis created works - bodies that suffer, bleed and experiment with the feeling of death. Finally, the artist went beyond the example of his time, inviting the viewer not only to react to what is happening around him, but to accept his human nature with its destructive instincts and creative capabilities that upholds the very importance of art as the only solution to salvation.
